Big Pharma Starts to Invest in Homeopathy

The sceptics may be winning their battle against homeopathy - the NHS is now spending just £122,000 a year on homeopathic prescriptions – but Big Pharma is going the other way, and is starting to invest in the therapy.
UK pharmaceutical company Angel Biotechnology is handing over part of its production plant in Cramlington, Newcastle to Material Medica Holding (MMH), Russia’s largest manufacturer of homeopathic-like drugs, as part of the joint venture.
MMH produces a range of ‘ultra low-dose drugs’ that are based on homeopathic principles.  They include anti-inflammatories and infection fighters.
During the initial five years of the venture, MMH is expected to produce seven ‘ultra low-dose drugs’ at the plant, generating around £10m ($16m) in sales.
