Bill and Barbara Grannell visited Mexico in 1997. When Barbara needed medical attention, she visited a homeopathic doctor, Dr. Oscar Rosado and said "was a life-changing experience for me."

The Grannells decided to establish a homeopathic clinic called A Promise of Health for the people who were desperately searching for affordable medical care.

The first clinic in Yucatan has recorded 65,000 patient visits and more clinics in Oaxaca were opened serving 14 villages.
