According to the 2007 National Health Interview Survey, which included a comprehensive survey of complementary and alternative medicine use by Americans, an estimated 3.9 million U.S. adults and approximately 900,000 children used homeopathy in the previous year. The Nutrition Business Journal reported that in the U.S. consumer sales of homeopathic treatments reached $870 million in 2009, an increase of 10 percent from the previous year. Hawaii has no shortage of homeopathic doctors and a large array can be found on all of the main islands.
